Vivo V20 Pro 5G launched in India. It’s specs, features and price.

Vivo’s latest offering the Vivo V20 Pro has launched in India. At a price tag of ₹ 29,990, it competes with the best selling smartphones which include Oneplus Nord, Samsung M51, Google Pixel 4a, etc. It seems that they have tried to be more competitive in the market which was not the case earlier. Vivo has only introduced one storage option which comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage. It will be available on Amazon, Flipkart as well as offline retail shops.


Vivo has chosen a glass-sandwich design for the V20 Pro similar to its sibling the V20. They are offering two color variants in the Indian market Midnight Jazz and the sunset melody. The Midnight Jazz is more of a gradient black color whereas the Sunset Melody gives several different colors in gradient finish depending upon the angle it is held on. With just 170gms and 7.4mm thickness, they have made a thin and light smartphone. The back of the phone houses a triple camera setup as well as the Vivo branding.


The Vivo V20 Pro packs in a 6.4 inch FHD+ AMOLED display with bathtub style notch in 20: 9 aspect ratio. The screen-to-body ratio is 91.20%. The glass used on the front of the phone is Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5. It has got 409 ppi density.


V20 Pro 5G to be precise is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor paired with Adreno 620 GPU. It is built on 7nm process. This chipset is an octa-core chip which comprises of 1x Kryo 475 Prime clocked at 2.4 GHz, 1x Kryo 475 gold clocked at 2.2 GHz, 6x Kryo 475 silver cores clocked at 1.8 GHz.


It runs Vivo’s custom software skin FunTouch OS 11 on top of Android 11.


The smartphone contains five cameras out-of-which three are at the rear and two are at the front. The triple cameras at the back include the main 64MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture, 8MP secondary ultrawide lens with f/2.2 aperture, at last a 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. It can shoot videos at 4k@30 fps, 1080p@30/60 fps.

It has dual selfie cameras with the primary being a 44MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a 8MP ultrawide sensor with f/2.3 aperture. This setup can shoot videos at 4k@30 fps and 1080p@30 fps.


The battery capacity is 4000 mAh and supports 33 watt fast charging out-of-the-box.


It supports LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage type, USB type-C port for charging and data transfer, Dual SIM 4G support, 5G support, mono speaker, Bluetooth 5.0, dual band Wi-Fi and all other necessary sensors.
